Darby is a certified general music teacher and has experience teaching all age groups, including toddlers, children, and teens. On faculty at The Shady Hill School teaching private voice and piano lesson from 2023-2026, Darby’s studio is a welcoming space for eager, creative, and distinctive musicians to grow and thrive. Whether you’re looking to refine your technique, build confidence for auditions, or prepare for an upcoming performance, music lessons can help you develop a wide range of skills. With personalized guidance and a supportive environment, students can strengthen their musicianship while discovering greater confidence and joy in their craft.
Teaching Philosophy: My biggest priority while teaching is that my students grow and enjoy themselves as much as possible. Music lessons create the amazing opportunity to learn new techniques, experiment new skills, and explore the wonderful world music has to offer. My teaching focuses mainly on artistic development, music improvisation, and creativity growth.
